Events 2012

Fundación Shakespeare Argentina was launched at the 38th Buenos Aires International Book Fair on April 24th 2012. The event included a Homage to Shakespeare on the 448 anniversary of his birth. Participated actresses Gabriela Toscano and Ingrid Pelicori, translator and university lecturer Dr. Rolando Costa Picazo, Dr. Jorge Dubatti, university lecturer and researcher, translator and lecturer Dr. Miguel Ángel Montezanti and Mr. Carlos Rivas, theatre director.  Activities
  
• Through our web-based platform we provide educational resources on Shakespeare for all levels. It is not intended to be a body of material exclusively for academics, but rather includes photos, articles, videos and podcasts, contributions by specialists in the field and notes for all interests.

• Visitors will find texts on Shakespeare written by Miguel Cané, Paul Groussac, Jorge Luis Borges, Rafael Squirru, Jorge Dubatti, Laura Cerrato, among others, in addition to articles by international specialists of Shakespeare, such as Harold Bloom, Ángel Luis Pujante, Alexander Huang, Vikram Chopra, and other important personalities of the theater and literature linked to Shakespeare.

• You will also find an extensive archive of images and audiovisual material of Argentine productions of Shakespeare's theatre - state, commercial and independent - as well as articles and a digitalized book relating to the history of the writer in Argentina.

• Projects in collaboration with international Shakespearian organizations.

 Shakespeare Birthplace Trust 

We are very proud to see the work of the Argentine artist Juan Carlos Liberti included in the exhibition Shakespeare Beyond Words at Shakespeare Birthplace Trust http://www.shakespeareliveshere.co.uk/post/87702793965/william-shakespeare-juan-c-liberti-1982 and in the free online course Getting to Know Shakespeare.  • Global Shakespeares
 
FSA collaborates with “Global Shakespeares” the platform of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). It is a wonderful collaborative project that provides free online access to performances of Shakespeares from many parts of the world for educational purposes. FSA made possible that important Argentines productions are included on the platform. “Hamlet/ La Metamorfosis” directed by Carlos Rivas starring Gabriela Toscano, “Rey Lear” starring Alfredo Alcón directed by Rubén Szuchmacher and “Noche de Reyes” directed by Jorge Azurmendi). • Shakespeare Anniversary
 
FSA collaborates with Societé Française Shakespeare (SFS) and we are proud to have the Argentines homages to Shakespeare in their wonderful platform of Homages to Shakespeare around the world (See link): http://www.shakespeareanniversary.org/?-Events-&lang=fr
